Welcome to our web site for the Dairy Queen system Our phenomenal story began with a 10 cent sale of a then unnamed product on August 4, 1938, in Kankakee, Illinois. A father and son in the mix plant business in Green River, Illinois, had been experimenting with a soft frozen dairy product for some time. They contacted Sherb Noble, a good friend and customer, who agreed to run the "all you can eat" trial sale at his walk-in ice cream store. Within two hours, he dished out more than 1,600 servings of the new dessert. International Dairy Queen, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire-Hathaway, Inc. Dairy Queen operators have been providing consumers with crave-satisfying treats and food ever since. Satisfied customers lead to successful restaurants. Each owner of our independently owned and operated establishments worldwide is committed to nothing less than the slogan "We Treat You Right." Today we are nationwide.

THE BEGINNING
Philly Cheesesteak started in a hot dog restaurant, Olivieri brothers, Pat and Harry, originally operated a hot dog and  sandwich in the 1930`s in Philadelphia. Steak sandwiches were not a part of the original menu. Instead one day Pat and Harry decided to make a steak sandwich for themselves for lunch. Using onions, a customer who is a cab driver came in and when he noticed what they were cooking asked to have one. The first Philly Cheesesteak served by the Olivieris had no cheese and was sold for a nickel.

THE CHEESE ARRIVES
The sandwich was originally prepared without cheese Olivieri claims was first added by a manager at the Ridge Avenue location ( south Philadelphia). His name was Joe "cocky joe" Lorenza and the first cheese he added was provolone.

THE PHILLY CHEESESTEAK RESTAURANT
Our very first restaurant was built in 2000 on Saint James Avenue in Goose Creek, South Carolina. We were the first in the area to introduce the east coast style Cheesesteak Sub.

Vince's made it's debut in July of 1964 by a man who LOVED
to eat great food of huge proportions and figured the rest of the world would too.
His name was as you may have guessed, Vince Frugoli. He and his wife, opened the small, dark, heavily bricked building and started feeding all of West Sacramento.
Our restaurant has quadrupled in size since that hot summer day. As they tried to expand their profitable business by opening another Vince's on Folsom Blvd. and later a third in Elk Grove, the West Sacramento Restaurant was kept in the family and ran by Pauline's brother Michael Talani.
Michael and his family ran Vince's through the mid 1970's all the way to December 2008 until he himself was in his seventies. In 2009, a new and yet another Italian family has taken ownership, the Rossi's. Father, Peter and son, Robert, duo that along with some exquisite cooking skills, also possess some amazing vocal talent.
Visit us today for Italian entrees, pizza, chicken, seafoo
